The number under each position is the percentage of regulars who returned as regulars the following season. The number to the right is the number of regulars in each category. For example, 5 of 15 shortstops creating less than 2 runs per game retained their jobs the next year.  The last line shows the point at which half of the regulars kept their positions.

Some cells encompass two ranges due to the small number of players at that level of offense (e.g. at first base there were seven regulars who created between 2.0 and 2.9 runs per game.)
